Year 201 of the Fourth Era, Loredas, 23rd of Last Seed I set out along the roads east, back the way I came from Whiterun. I investigated the small house along the road that I passed up before, and discovered a lair of bandits. They had a nice operation going; they fronted as a lumber company, while in actuality they would stick up traders, kill them, and take their cargo. Their leader was about as tough as her minions, that is to say, hardly tough at all, and she was an ugly runt to boot. She did have a very nice stash of loot, though I had to dodge half a dozen traps to get to the room she stored it all in. A whole bunch of gold, some potions, ores and silver and gold ingots, and a small candlestick mold. There was a silver candlestick in it, so I assume it's a silversmith's mold. Maybe if I find the owner they'll hand over some gold for it, but that'll probably be a while. After a very rude ambush by bandits, I've decided to rest up at their little camp until morning. There's a nice fire and it's under a rocky overhang, so I won't get rained on in my sleep. I'll continue along the roads east tomorrow and see what I can find.
