[quote=@MelonHead] Are you somehow saying that plate armour negates all physical force? I'm fairly certain it just prevents attacks from piercing or cutting through the armour, the blunt force is reduced by padded clothing underneath. So I'd say your cloak armour is pretty damn similar. The bane of plate armour ultimately was bullets and maces, bullets can pierce the metal where-as they wouldn't pierce your cloak, a mace is as effective against them as either or. The fact that everyone in this fight is restricted to swords however essentially makes the cloak all the more powerful. My character will have to contend with his using brute strength, because someone like IN's character using small darting strikes and cuts won't have a chance at piercing his armour. My issue with the cloak is that while it serves all the functions of actual plate armour it has none of the limitations, and can even stop bullets. It's the equivalent of wearing a breastplate, if covers and protects the chest, or in this case, the back, not sure how it equals up to a full suit of armor, but OK.
