[@Akayaofthemoon] Ugh, that's terrible.  I'm really sorry for you, I imagine that being the type of thing that would make you lose some faith in humanity, especially as a kid.  It's the type of thing that motivates me to make a conscious effort not to be swayed by the bystander effect.  I'm glad things eventually turned out somewhat alright for you.
