What the hell was going on? I had been threatened by my own guards over the brutal suicide of that brat. I needed to find a way out of this, and quickly. Although I was tempted to tell the guards that they could take their pay and just leave - whatever was necessary to get them away from me without being shot - the Team Leader seemed to want answers. It was possible that, in his eyes, asking him to leave would be the same as admitting I had a hand in the arrest of one of his men. And I hadn't! At least... not intentionally. The necklace had obviously granted my wish, and now, everyone knew something strange was going on. if I tried to escape and got caught, I might end up dead. That meant there was only one option left to me. I would have to rely on the necklace again. I knelt on the floor in front of the mirror, holding the gem in my hand. "I don't really know what you are," I said, my reflection regarding the necklace in awe, "But you've been a big help to me so far. So thank you, and..." I met my own eyes in the mirror, "And I need you again. If you don't save me from my guards, I'm gonna get shot. So they need to die. All of them. If you help me, I'll do my best to keep feeding you blood." The necklace hadn't done a thing to hurt me yet. Perhaps it was satisfied to hurt the people near me. As far as I was concerned, it could keep doing that! "Please... make one of the guards slaughter all the others then kill himself. Make it look like he was behind Christian's death, too. If there isn't a clear culprit, I might end up being arrested myself." Of course, the police would be vulnerable to bribes, especially ones of the magnitude I could offer. But I certainly didn't need the hassle! I gave the mirror my best twisted grin. The truth was, I was a bit excited. Perhaps, if I was lucky, I could be the one to make the Team Leader draw his last breath. He certainly deserved it after what he had said to me, and what his team helped put me through so long ago. Killing him would probably feel great! My smile widened of its own accord. I really was going insane!
