[@boomlover] JoJo is one of the most popular series in Japan, the manga has running for almost 30 years now. It's kind of like the Japanese equivalent of Doctor Who in terms of cultural impact. It hasn't been represented well in the West because of copyright issues (Hirohiko Araki, the creator of the series likes to name his characters after Western musical artists) outside of France. France loves JoJo enough to ask Araki to put in some work into The Louvre. In 2012, they started making an anime adaptation of JoJo that's just recently finished the 3rd part of the manga. All that said, the series is weird. GaoGaiGar and Getter Robo are both about giant robots and being ridiculously awesome in completely different ways. Gundam Build Fighters is like if you made a Yu-Gi-Oh type anime about toy robots. It's better than it sounds. SNAFU is like a deconstruction of a Romantic Comedy.
