As far as technology go, most of it would be modern day tech if it's normal stuff, but there's also supernatural/futuristic technology available I'd say that you can go any more advanced than [url=]Eos[/url], though, since she's supposed to the most advanced piece of technology on the setting. Most Chasers gain powers wen they come in contact with the Crimson sky for the first time. If they're just awakening latent powers, or the red world changes them, it's up to you to decide... or guess, at least. You can have a thematic character, if you want, but there's no underlying theme for the party as a whole. Currently, there's a vampire-ninja-maid, a god-modded-insane beastmaster, a cyborg-mercenary-maid and an fox-girl-maid. If I say there used to be a theme, it would be that any girl to join the team mysteriously gets converted into a maid... hehehe.
