"You did a lot before then too though! You and Viral did really well on Namek, I don't care what anyone else says," Yumi said, "You're plenty strong even now, I'm positive of that, and I'll prove it when we get to train!" It had been ages since she and T'charrl did much of anything together, a shame since she really enjoyed spending time with him. In a way she felt kind of bad about it, having been one of the first to meet him only to never hang around, but that was going to change! Starting this afternoon she'd see to it that the two of them got some quality training time together, just the two of them. "A field would be good too, we'd have tons of room to move around then," Yumi replied cheerfully, "Wherever you want to go is fine by me, just let me know!" Sadly this conversation would have to wait, as Vegeta had come out and delivered some rather grim news shortly thereafter. It was odd, feeling everyone's mood just plummet like that, it made her chest hurt and her ears fold down woefully. The King and Krom... Why them? They always fought Elites up until now, what would bring those two all the way out here? And how in the world did they slip past all the rebels? Takeshi felt awful after hearing those news, yet he couldn't waste time being upset or worrying with Shu having a small breakdown. His little brother needed him, and it was his job to do everything possible to make things okay for him. What could he even say to reassure him though? This was their father they were talking about, the strongest Saiyan alive and such a bad guy he messed up his own children. Pulling Shu into an embrace he made a sorry attempt at consoling him, a bit dejected when his words fell completely on deaf ears. "You are strong buddy, you're as strong as me or Viral or anyone else here, honest," Takeshi said gently, giving Shu's hair another ruffle as he tried to smile, "And you are a good Saiyan. Why aren't you, because you're not a monster like most of us? Like I am?" He loathed to say it aloud, but Takeshi had come to realize he was a lot more like their father than he liked to admit. Both of them could snap and kill someone, and often times they did, and they'd do so without hesitation for whatever they felt was important to them; Yamate had his agenda to protect, for him it was Shu. "Listen, I'm not going to let anything happen to you, got me? I'll fight father alone if I have to, I'm pretty strong too, you know? You'll be safe, I swear." "I don't want to be the one telling you all this, but we can't wait around to get moving. This call came in a while ago, and Numina was already under attack by then. If we're going to help then we have to mobilize and move now." Vegeta added, frowning as he watched everyone start talking amongst themselves and looking worried. Shu in particular was having a bad time of it, looking like he was about to freak out. They never did have a chance to work with him, sending him into this was no doubt going to be horrible. Sending a sympathetic look in the young Saiyan's way he glanced back at the ship, wondering how Viral must be this moment. The Beastman knew full well what was happening but absolutely could not go, and knowing him that was driving him mad. With one hand on his hip he ran a hand through his hair, wishing right now they could get another call saying the rebels were going to handle the situation, but that was wishful thinking. "We've got the shuttle already prepared for you all, and its stocked with medicine and supplies if anything should happen... I'm sorry, but we need to do this, the King has to be stopped here. All of you be careful out there and come back to Uuonoe." Well what a fine mess this day was turning out to be. To fight Krom and the King, and whoever else might be with them, seriously? There was plenty to be gained from winning the fight, but that was if they could succeed. Kabocha didn't want to fail, but he had serious doubts about having any chance of defeating those two. Still... If they won then he'd rise back to prominence in Saiyan society, maybe even higher if he was one of the ones to bring down the King. Who knows, maybe it'd even be enough to get out of his father's household and make a name for himself, he'd like that. Daydreaming aside however Kabocha couldn't ignore the sinking pit that was his stomach, or his clammy hands or tight throat. This wouldn't be an easy battle, and someone could well end up dead out there. "Heh... Maybe we can get Shu to change and just get them both, what do you think?" he asked, glancing between the twins, "Or see if T'charrl can change. They're really strong when they do, we might not even have to fight."
