"You're not a monster Shu, okay? No little brother of mine is a monster. After we kick their asses today we'll come back and I'll help you learn to handle that, got it?" Takeshi asked, smiling reassuringly as he reached out and gently poked Shu's forehead with his forefinger, "Besides... Monster can mean more than one thing, you know? You're not a monster." Now someone who killed a bunch of people, that was a monster. Someone who killed a bunch of people for the sake of their single sibling was pretty bad too, and he had done such a thing for just about a year. If anyone really deserved that label here then it was him, not Shu. One way or another he would keep his little brother out of the fighting, even if it meant going as far as knocking him out or something. It wasn't so much a question of whether they could beat their father and Krom, what with everyone here, but how hurt everyone might get; Shu was bound to be targeted, as was he, but Takeshi wouldn't let them get a hand on his sibling. "Look... I'll be at your side the entire time, okay? We can do it like we did on Namek, you stay on my back and blast 'em, how's that sound? They'll never lay a finger on you." Kabocha had a brilliant if not cruel idea to save their collective hides, an idea that he was sure wouldn't fly outside this small circle of theirs. Nonetheless there was a chance it could work, and while people would be no doubt pissed at him it was likely their best shot of making it through the battle alive. "T'charrl can handle it, he's strong, and Shu is a ball of mayhem we can use. Just make sure he's pissed at either Yamate or Krom before he shifts and boom, we've got ourselves a rampant Oozaru on our side." There was a slight worry the idea could totally backfire of course and Shu turn on them, but then they had Takeshi or Yumi to help stop that. It wasn't foolproof, but he rather liked that idea as opposed to just throwing themselves at the King and hoping to beat him. Glancing at Choi as he spoke up, Kabocha gave a roll of his eyes before shrugging, sending a glance to T'charrl as well before back to the twins. "I don't know, maybe? He's changed back before though, he could do it again. And look Choi, we're all basically soldiers, soldiers are weapons. And what do you care if it means we make it out alive? Or do you mean to tell me you'd rather fight the King or Krom yourself?" Yumi felt a pit gnawing at her stomach now, but like the others she was moving towards the ship. How were they going to a man like the King, especially when he had help with him? She had never really met Krom but vaguely knew the name, aware enough to know he was a thorn in her friends' sides. Vegeta didn't need to say how significant a win would be today, but she wasn't overly confident they'd be that fortunate. Letting out a soft sigh she frowned at picking up everyone's anxiety, glancing over at Shu and then Haku, seeing both quite uneasy and even trembling a little. With a sympathetic smile she changed course and walked over between the two of them, placing a hand on each of their shoulders. "Hey... We're going to be alright out there you two. We've got our friends to back us up, and there's strength in numbers, right? As long as we watch each other's backs nothing will go wrong." There was seven of them, they should be more than fine with so many people at their side. Stopping at the rear of the shuttle Yumi stood before Shu, placing both her hands on his shoulders and leaning down, placing a light kiss on his forehead. "You're a brave little man Shu, and it's okay to be scared, everyone is right now. But don't forget we're all here with you, nothing will happen so long as we can help it," Yumi said, looking up at everyone else, "That goes for all of you, let's make sure to keep each other safe!" That was a wonderful sentiment coming from Yumi, but Takeshi sincerely doubted it'd work out: This whole mess started because they couldn't keep each other safe, what had changed between now and then? There were more people to worry about, Viral wasn't even going to be around this time and Shu was seriously freaking out before they were even on their way out. Alone he stood no chance against his father or Krom and he knew that, yet he'd still try to find a way to get at least one alone, make it easier on the others. Somehow he'd find a way to beat whoever he got matched with, so long as he could keep Shu out of harm's way. Putting on a smile for his sibling's sake, the older boy climbed into the shuttle, passing flying this time around as he figured his brother needed company in the back. Finding a seat he gave it a patting beside himself, waiting for Shu to sit and immediately putting an arm around his shoulders once he was seated. "Just think too, after we beat them today we'll be free, we can do whatever we want. I'm thinking we head back to Earth, maybe I can teach you some stuff and we can build you a room in my house, how's that sound? You won't have to sleep on the couch anymore."
