Snow would be an annoying guy to have to marry, but him trying to be the hero all the time would be even more detrimental as a partner in battle. Luckily for her things turned out alright. 
Didn't hope try to kill one of his own partners? And whine a whole lot? 
Fang is a good partner, at least by comparison. Although I heard her voice acting is dull in the Japanese version. I feel sorry for them in that regard.

Not that I'm tearing into FF13. It was a fine game, I suppose.
