Maximus walked up to the three now talking to each other He managed to hear partially what they said and stopped slipping his left arm back into his sleeve. 

When she then said, "I am not receptive to those who deem me foolish or incompetant. My... father... taught me to look down upon those that do."

"But then you are exactly like them if you follow that philosophy. If that be the case you are acting just the way they deemed you." He bowed his head and said, "Excuse me, My name is Maximus. It appears to me that you three know of this 'Thane'. I wish to silence his words so they wont infect another generation of people." 

He then looked to Urick and Gippal, "That is if you will have me." He finished, Looking back to the woman. Suddenly as he really looked at her face he caught a glimpse of someone who she reminded him of. After a moment of confusion he quickly put it to the side. No way she would be that young....
