Although matching the design of the legendary planet-killing monstrosity, created by Shinzon, she lacks a number of the name-sakes lethal combat prowess. Specifically, her Thalaron Generator, Cloak and emitter weapon. Although she is still equipped with an incredibly advanced cloak, this cloak will allow weapons to be powered even when under cloak, however, the energy emittion of actually firing disrupts the Tachyon field that bends light around the ship, forcing it to drop the cloak after a second or two. This grants excellent first-strike ability, but little else beyond that.

And although she is less powerful than her namesake, she is still a heavily armed vessel, armed with 6 forward and 2 aft Heavy Disruptor cannons, 2 forward and aft Disruptor beam emitters, dorsal and ventral mounted Disruptor Turrets, As well as 2 Forward and aft Torpedo tubes. The Breen refer to these vessels as "Ambush Predators"
