"You think he had enough swords? We could start our own torture chamber in this place..." Dick and Tim opened yet another room in the large Wayne Manor. They have been spending all morning seeing what room held what, and the more they opened them, the more they realized just how dark his past was. Even though Tim had an apartment in the city, he was more than happy to help Dick out, and often spent the night over here after a long night of patrolling the city. The room they found was lined with different swords from different eras, ones looking incredibly old, but other being incredibly old but looking brand new under the layer of dust. Dick walked around the room, and spotted a sword that he saw was familiar. It belonged to the League of Shadows. Dick didn't know much about this secret society, but after digging around, he learned that they were a group of assassins that Bruce trained under... Both Dick and Tim had the pleasure of meeting Ra's al Ghul; Bruce's mentor. But the sword didn't belong to the master assassin, but his daughter. Thalia al Ghul was one of the very few people that Bruce loved. Her death took a toll on him. It was a dark patch in their relationship, and one of the reasons why Nightwing went to Bludhaven. Dick wondered if there was ever going to be someone like that in his life. Someone that he cared about so much that when they left, his own composure would crumble... As the two men went to work cleaning the room, Dick's phone went off. He opened his phone to see the beautiful Abigail Dent making a face next to the roses he sent. He gave a small smirk as he read the message, and looking over at Tim who was hard at work packing up a few smaller items, Dick decided to respond to the message. Damn, maybe I'm not cut out to be a diva. I'll give the philanthropist life style a go then. Glad you like the flowers, someday I might be able to teach you the secret art of bottle flipping when we have the time. "Who're you texting?" Tim asked, looking over at him. "What? No one." "Ah, a girl. I gotcha, Grayson. No need to be embarrassed." He said with a laugh. Dick shook his head with a smile, seeing another text sent to him. "yeah, well this girl is helping me find out some information on someone... The girl is Barb, by the way." "yeah, kinda figured." Dick then read Barbara's text, thinking of a million possibilities that could go with the facts of Abigail Dent. She was adopted in to the name Dent after her mother died, with a man with a very crude signature that only the "H" could be made out... He thought back on the picture of the blonde making a face with the flowers. Could she be related to him? Run "Herrington" through the databases of Gotham. If you find nothing, run through the lists of deaths by childbirth on her birthday. Thanks --D Dick looked around, and shrugged. "Ready for the next room?" He asked. Tim nodded. "Sure, hopefully we can find pictures of Bruce as a kid. I bet he was old school fancy. those pictures will sell quickly, and for a price..." Tim said jokingly as they exited the sword collection room.
