Reggie snickered as he saw that Captain Kirk seemed to have a weakness after all, a weakness to things that don't make sense. Reggie was fully aware of the insanity of everything that just happened, but he could honestly careless about it. He currently had two objectives in his mind: Bug Kirk as much as was safe until satisfied and keep Eve safe until she gets better. He wanted to help the newborn gem, but she seemed to be a little overwhelmed by everything that was going on and she wasn't his priority right no. Besides, he was sure she could take care of herself and he also knew that as long as Kirk stayed calm, he wouldn't use force to coarse her to his side . . . as long as she stayed neutral that is. When Joan of Arc talked about going after him and Eve, Reggie's hand instantly went to the gun at his side, ready to draw it at a moment's notice. While he didn't think Kirk would sign off on it, it never hurt to be safe.

Suddenly, it seems like Melanite had had enough of everything, and had bolted away from the group, the confusion seeming to turn into fear as she begun climbing a rock face not to far away. Knowing he should keep his mouth shut, but not being able to keep himself from talking, he decided to tell the good captain his two cents on the matter.

"Not that it's any of my business, but I think you should give lil' Mel some space right now. Let her cool her head and what not before approaching her again. Also, if you truly wish for her best interest at chart, tell her everything, not just the good bits. Tell what you intended to do to the planet long ago, what happened here, and why you're currently fighting her . . . brothers and sisters, I guess. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a stupid human." He rubbed his head a bit before a determined gleam enter his eyes. " A human who wants to take a look at some of this Gem Tech, though you have to promise me that if Imp here wakes up and wants off, which she likely will, that you'll let her off. I know I'm not bargaining from a position of strength here, but those be my conditions."
