Welcome to the Guild! If you havent checked out the pinned threads on the News Forums (the ones that cover the basics of the site and the rules/policies) then I suggest giving them a look-over just to make sure you have an understanding of how everything works. As someone who started Roleplaying in other "younger" sites as well [i]*cough*Minecraft*cough*SpiralKnights*cough*[/i] the quality of writing and running a Roleplay is much different. But, I don't think it should really be too hard even with that level of experience. If you've already got an idea of how this site works, then go on out there and have some fun with new characters and worlds!
