I'm torn! On the one hand, I think it'd be extremely interesting and challenging to play as the Elites---but I've also been swayed by your explanation for why you believe the Failures would be the best course, [@FiroIV]. 

I'm still leaning towards Elites but at this point, either one would be great. I really like the concept of this RP so tbh I don't care which way we go. I'll start planning a CS for both possibilities. 

If we go for Elites, I'd definitely like to play the group doctor/medical professional (though I'm no professional myself). 

If we go for Failures, I have in mind a formerly successful lawyer or something such who bankrupted himself trying to pay for his wife (or daughter's idk) treatments (cancer? something like that) and was charged for small-time theft to help out. I think it'd be interesting to play a character who was formerly an "Elite" brought low by their own misdeeds, or simply by sheer unluckiness. His skill as a lawyer could make him valuable as a leader---however, a history of instability and his own fall from grace could make him unreliable/arrogant and bring him into tension with the rest of the group.
