I'm new to this site but I'm not new to roleplaying, and I'm interested in this thread, although I'll be fair I've only skimmed the first post. I'm from england and it's quite late at night where I am now so I'm probably going to read through the full thing again in the morning and then write up a character, the rest of the night might give me some inspiration as to my character.

Also, would it be alright to base a character off of a theme? (Cowboy, Knight, Native American, etc) I realise that it's modern day but they wouldn't be like time travellers or anything, more a case of them drawing inspiration from something to create a persona based around their powers.

EDIT: Taking a quick look through I see you already have a knight (well, a Paladin) so I suppose that's out of the question. Cowboy is something i'm considering though.
