His mother died of sickness at an early age, so he had to work hard to get money, but even then he didn't get much from the work that he did. James would study hard at school, as he wished to get a good job when he was older to get a lot of money. James was quite shy at school, always sitting away from people, but never in the shadows. He was scared of the dark, and always wished that he could ward it off. One day, James was sitting in the house at night, and he was reading a book. Suddenly, there was a power cut, and James was waving his hands, willing the darkness to go away. Light appeared, and James thought that the power was coming back on. He looked around, but everything in the house was still turned off. He turned his head, and caught a glimpse of a ball of light sitting in front of him. He moved his hand out of the way to get a better look at it, but it seemed to follow the movements of his hand. He moved his hand out, and the ball moved away. He brought his hand closer and the ball came closer. James was happy with this, and he clapped in delight. When he clapped, though, the ball flashed really brightly, but it didn't seem to faze James. Strange. I wonder if I can make the ball go away somehow. James moved his hands apart and the ball disappeared. That was easy. James thought. And that is when James started to pray to Zariana, a goddess of light and nature that he made up. James went to school the next day, and read books about hunters and huntresses, who had their own weapons. James wanted to become one of them, become a hunter. James went home, to tell his father of his dreams, but his father had become ill. Nonetheless, he told his dad, and he started to craft his own weapons with what he had. Unfortunately, the more progress James had made with his weapons, the worse the sickness in his father became. Finally, James and his father finished making the Swish Of Zariana and Zariana's Ward, and his father passed away a few days later. Even at the age of 17, James was upset. He cried for days, but finally stopped. He would continue his dream. Hesitantly, James applied for Beacon Academy. Personality: James is a shy boy, who is easily upset. It's easy to make James cry, and he doesn't like telling people what happened to his family. James is also scared of the dark. He prays to goddess he made up, the goddess of nature and light, Zariana, and does not like being abused because of it. He likes nature. Appearance: James is a decent height, with black hair coming down to his ears and blue eyes. He has a small nose. He has grey wolf ears and a grey wolf tail. James is quite thin, and he likes to wear casual clothes. Post Sample: James walked alone through the corridors, feeling alone. He was sad, but he tried not to show it. Instead, he admired the beautiful red wood walls, and the blue patterned floor. The place had a soothing feeling to it, but it didn't do much to cheer James up from what he felt. Finally, James reached the exit, and walked outside. It was peaceful outside, the chirping of birds, the warm rays of sun beating on his skin. The flowers were finally blooming, and looked beautiful. James walked to the flowers, admired the arrangement, and walked along the path to the fountain, which had water flowing down from it, then coming back up to repeat the process. James felt cheered up by the air around him, and how there was hardly any darkness around, all warded off by the sun's rays. James sat down on a bench, and turned on his laptop. He began to listen to music, the sounds almost lulling James fall asleep.
