Ok, so the system is the PRS, or party/Pokemon registration system. You register your Pokemon, and it charts their natural growth, or moves.

Also, three will get starters (they are custom!) and the rest may chose a two stage evolution, non-shiny Pokemon, that they had as a small child (something like that, just add how you got it in your history.
