No house connotations. I purposely deviated from those connotations cause it segregates a certain type of people into a certain type of house. And I wanted the houses to have variety. 

Though the houses have a "team spirit" feel like any other kinda social group. A person of one house will still be able to mingle with people from other houses. And the houses are used in team activities, missions(sometimes), competitions, etc.
