Sitting in Starbucks, the blonde gaze out the window looking onto the busy streets of Gotham; she, like many of the other members of the town, had lots of questions left unanswered. Where was Batman? Would he be back? Is this Nightwing guy a replacement? Would he be any good? (He could fight, she was willing to give him that, and showed a bit of respect towards her… not a lot but a bit by letting her go home instead of drilling her with questions). What is the fate of the new Wayne Billionaire? What makes him tick? What’s his back story? How did he know Bruce? What’s his favorite color? What kind of food does he love? What does he do for fun?... wait, those are getting too personal… Shaking her head she sat back up before she looked down at her phone finding that he responded. A smile moved across her full lips flashing her bright white teeth. He was responding quickly which is a good sign right? He wasn’t dodging her messages or ignoring them… then again he could really be busy. This time she didn’t wait. See you in about twenty minutes then! With that she ordered two black coffees and started towards his new home, the Wayne Manor. When her phone rang; “Hello Kiddo.” Her dad’s voice rang through her car. “Hello dad! I can’t talk too long, I’m heading out to meet a new friend.” There was a small pause before her father spoke again, “Sorry sweetie I got distracted for a moment, I’m glad you made a new friend, who is it?”, “Well…” Abbie said softly sounding embarrassed, “I wouldn’t exactly call us ‘friends’ per say, but we’ve hit it off pretty well; it’s the new owner of the Wayne Estates.”, “Aw yes Mister Greyson, just be careful with him sweetheart. He still is a stranger.”, Abbie rolled her eyes before responding, “Yes dad, be safe and be on guard because you never know who’s around the corner.”, “That’s my girl. How was your party?” The question caused Abbie a lot of hesitation, “Abbie… what happened? Did that Greyson guy hurt you?”, “No!” She jumped instantly, “The owner tried to… well he tried to hold me in his office for some reason. Something about you and… then someone came and saved me.”, “Who?” Her father’s voice was a bit stressed before Abbie was able to continue, she explained what happened and how she beat up two guys and this ‘Nightwing’ guy saved her and got her outside. She left out that she had met him once before and that he asked about her father too. But she did inform her father that the owner of the lounge asked her about him. “You don’t say…”, “I’m okay dad, really.”, “Okay kiddo, I understand; just keep using that cab company. I don’t want you stuck somewhere okay? Be careful with your new friend. But have a good time.” “I’ll be fine dad, anyway I’m pulling put to the Manor I have to let you go. I love you too dad. Bye.” With that she hung up on the phone and climbed out car carrying the drinks with their lids. She gently kicked the door shut and climbed up the stairs to the door. The blonde looked down at her hands then to doorbell. She couldn’t exactly kick the door that would be rude. Taking her time, she tried to reach her elbow over to the doorbell attempting to balance her purse on her shoulder and the two coffee cups in her hands. Of course, that was the moment that Dick opened the door. She gave him an innocent and slightly embarrassed smile; of course! Of course!! “Coffee delivery!” She said in a perky attitude as she handed him his black coffee. “I hope I’m not getting in the way of you getting to know other people.” She said with a nod as she stepped into the manor after being offered inside. She did her best not to stare in shock as she looked around the inside, this was just the hallway and it was impressive! As they started down the hallway, Abbie’s hip decided to find a nearby desk. Whack! Her lips pressed together and her face went bright red. A small little whimper left her as she pulled her leg back from the table and breathed softly before letting out a small, “Ow… I’m okay… And I’m knocking things over…” Her caramel eyes opened and she looked down to see what she had knocked on the ground. Picking up the piece of paper it unrolled a bit before she turned it to him; “Is this you?”
