The more accurate name would be 'Rose Rock' but due to a certain rebellion leader, he's sorta stopped using that title. Anyways, since rose rock is held together by grains of sand and baryte, well, it should be obvious that it sort of dissolves in water. Which is what most of the Earth is covered in. And actually, I'm pretty sure Sodalite is water soluble as well, or at least can be greatly damaged by it. Then again, so can Lapis Lazuli and...Oh crap. But seriously, they went with its association with water over it being damaged by it, so it's cool.
