Shu didn’t want everyone running around after him and his concern for everybody’s well-being was going to prevent him from ever staying behind the lines even if they told him it was best for him. He didn’t want to be looked after by everyone and never was he going to let people suffer for him. He wanted to show he was strong and fully able to stand up for himself, not ending up always being the one to sit back and watch as everyone else suffered instead. “But if you do lose…does that mean it was my fault? I really don’t want people hurting over me…” Feeling a little uneasy about Takeshi’s plans he frowned as he looked up to Takeshi when he ruffled his hair, letting out a sigh. “Okay…I won’t. I won’t go too far. I’ll be good”. He knew he was going to have a hard time fighting, but he didn’t want to end up becoming the victim again. He wanted to show he was capable of defending himself and not needing people to help him all the time, but it was difficult when everyone saw him as a weak, scared little kid. T’charrl scratched at his leg using his foot when everyone started talking once more, trying to shake off this feeling. While every plan going through his head was only ending in the worst case scenario possible he gasped a little when Yumi reached out to him, touching his shoulder. Looking to her quickly he frowned slightly, giving the others a quick look before his eyes went to Haku. They both had conflicting ideas with one believing they could do it and the other having doubt that they’d have a chance with one watching over the other. “I-I…don’t know how they’ll fight. I don’t know what they look like or how to tell them apart. I don’t like how I’m feeling about this…” Everything was just constant unease over everything, even the others couldn’t give him the reassurance he needed to see through this problem of his. Things were going to go downhill fairly quickly and he was scared of disappointing others, wondering if he was ever going to be seen as a capable fighter beyond his changes or without people mentioning them. He knew the likes of Yumi did try hard not to mention them, but they were always going to be on people’s minds. There was definitely going to be the problem of getting back in the ship if everybody got beaten up, only driving Shu further towards the urge to fight for his friends. He didn’t want everyone suffering because he couldn’t do anything through fear. He wanted to see if people could be proud of him and all of his hard work during a battle, he wanted to show people he wasn’t just a kid who was primitive and couldn’t defend himself. He was of age when people of his clan would become warriors and fight other clans, so he should be able to follow the example too. He should’ve been practicing with his weapon he got from Takeshi, he played around with it every so often but didn’t really know how to make it function properly. He would have to get a really durable one for battle if he ever did get one, just so he didn’t continuously break it. Hearing Kabocha on the speakers again he sighed lightly, pulling at his seatbelt, not at all prepared for the landing. While he was feeling rather tense he still had to remember he had everybody there to support him too. Looking to Takeshi when he helped him remove the seatbelt he frowned when Takeshi squatted before him, staring at him before letting out a sigh. “Okay…I’ll listen to you too. I will show I’m strong! I am still a warrior…right?”
