While he's not rippling with muscles, his physical strength is passable for a frontline soldier, and his forte is his endurance and stamina -- the longer a struggle goes on, the better position he's in. His skin is naturally pale, and the time he's spent outside hasn't done much to help. He's nearly always tired, due to the fact that he quite literally never stops to give himself a break, and it shows in his face -- especially through the dark circles around his eyes. Despite having a thin jawline, small nose, and other features that make him look younger than his age, the constant intense stare on his face brings his apparent age back up to snuff. The armor he wears into battle is rather light, as he prefers to rely on finesse and being quick on his feet to dodge and deflect attacks made against him. Looks something like this: Ͼ T I T L E Ͽ Lord Elliot John Tessel IV, but he much prefers simply 'Elliot' or 'El'. Beyond being red-feathered and able to burst into flames, she's a rather normal, large bird. She shares Elliot's passion, and is very affectionate to both Elliot and his comrades. Ͼ P E R S O N A L I T Y Ͽ Elliot is a driven young man, always striving to improve himself. For example, during his fitness sessions, it's not exactly uncommon to see him push himself so hard, and so adamantly refuse to take a break, that he straight up passes out during a run. His rather fiery and impatient disposition leads to him being relatively 'in-your-face,' and his tolerance for anything he deems to be wasting time, whether his own or his comrades, is extremely low. When he sees something he disagrees with, he will rarely hold his tongue, letting everyone know his opinion and why it's the right one. He's intensely competitive, and when he starts something, he makes absolutely certain he sees it through to the end and to the best of his ability -- a quitter is the absolute last thing he wants to be. All this leads to him often coming off as kind of an ass, but at the end of the day, Elliot means only well. He simply wants to see himself and those around him improving constantly. His lack of tact is just something he hasn't quite matured out of yet, still being a teen who thinks he's got everything figured out -- nothing a few years in the real world won't fix. His passion and immense drive to be the best means he often gains the respect of those around him, even if that respect is a little grudging. Ͼ B I O Ͽ Elliot was born into a powerful family full of Familiars, one that ran a large town and did so well. Being such an adventurous and antsy kid, the thought of being behind a desk all day, filling out paperwork and going to meetings to govern a town did not sit well with him at all. He much prefered imagining himself as a warrior who went out and slayed Cimmerians, and most of his childhood was spent playing out that fantasy with other children his age. As he grew into his pre-teen years, his family tried to more forcefully push him into the role of an upstanding Familiar, but Elliot was having absolutely none of it. When he wasn't outside excersising or rough-housing with friends, he was inside, reading stories of great heroes, old soldier manuals, and long-winded documents of past battles. His parents were exasperated, wondering how a child of theirs could be so un-noble. The boy associated with anyone who would spare him the time, whether rich or poor, old or young, he was covered in mud and bruises far more often than not, and he hated being referred to as 'Lord' -- according to him, nobles were people who spent all their time doing menial, boring tasks, which was not him. He taught himself to wield a sword through books, though of course the 'style' he developed over the years is far from optimal, something he hopes to get help with from other mercenaries. During his Reckoning, to his immense, smug satisfaction, the water reccommended that he become a Mercenary. It was the fruit of all the work he had put in to distance himself from his family's line of work and turn himself from a pampered, spoiled, noble brat into a soldier. Elliot is about as green as they come. He never had any formal training, and he's only officially been a Mercenary for a few months. But his indomitable will to protect Valeriya and to become a warrior that people will sing praises of for generations to come could very well take him far.
