I was going to save that as their ultimate fate after the final battle, but I got a little eager in the idea of making Orihime into a half doll. At least, they can still show up in the epilogue. Even then, it saddens me to see Yamato go.

Now, that I think about it, this really became a Romeo and Juliet-like tragedy in the end.
