 Eve is actually a huge sucker for cuddles and hugs and such, even if she expresses otherwise, especially head pats.  Why this latter bit is so is probably due to Talc often expressing affection for others via head pats and hair strokes, often messing up their hair and whatnot, and since she was the first person she met and the closest thing to a mother-figure, there's a greater sense of affection and comfort to it.
