Thanks for the constructive criticism, [@swich01] :P I took most of my psyker information from here http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Psyker Adrianne, although mostly known for her ability of Divination, is actually most adapt at Telekinesis, which does include the ability of teleportation. The exact difficulty of teleportation seems to be very subjective from my understanding, with some stories featuring psykers capable of flickering back and forth between the immaterium and real world, while other stories had it be an utmost rarity. I went for something in-between. I always intended for Adrianne to be a reckless character, which she has been since a certain event in her backstory(before that, she actually used to be quite timid). Even the skull shaped onto her helmet is tainted by the warp, as it was once the skull of one of Adrianne's very own colleagues who fell to the warp(she doesn't tell this to anyone though), and she wears it not only to boost her own ego and a reminder that she was the superior psyker, but also because it connects her closer to the warp, amplifying her abilities. Essentially, she is the kind of person who will cut down security measure for amplified effect. Though perhaps the greatest reason why she uses her powers so freely, even in idle circumstances, has to do with the people she has been assigned to in the past. Most of her hosts have been rather relaxed about her powers, and given her much leeway. Most of her assignments have been to people like extravagant & confident noblemen who often saw her powers as much as entertainment as dangerous abilities that should be respected less they invoke a daemon invasion. That, and the Imperial Guard, where most officers were happy as long as she divined the correct enemy positions and made enough orks go airborne. In fact, if her old trainers saw how liberal some of the individuals she was sent to actually were, they would put on a tantrum! But perhaps the most important reason for Adrianne's reckless use of her own powers is because she genuinely enjoys it. She loves nothing more than to feel the rush of a powerful spell. And usually, the greater, wilder & more uncontrollable warp energies, the greater the rush. She is, one could almost say, a psychic-junkie! Adrianne has a very big ego, and is prideful in her abilities to the point of over-confidence. When it comes to her casting, those two personal traits are perhaps the most profound for explaining her behavior! TLDR: Adrianne is reckless, lacks respect for danger, overconfident, and her pride will most likely get herself killed - someday. P.S Oh, and I simply use "spell" because I couldn't think of another word to describe her unique abilities, and most people assume psykers = space wizards anyway :D
