[@NarcissisticPotato] It's been a while Potate!
Hey Savato! I know, it's been way too long! >.< Glad the gang is back together though!
And yet you don't help the main problem I'm having, I have to do all the thinking, even the nerfing, while still keeping the character Deadpool-like, and any solution I come up with you guys don't like because no one can think past "Punch it til it dies" or wants to give any ideas besides "I don't like it, do something else!". Heck, when Bee tried to end that fun beach arc after 5 posts, I gave him reasons as to why what he did wasn't very good and how to still do what he wanted to do, but in a way that wasn't so intrusive. It would be awesome if you guys could do that sorta thing. As for all the other people, I don't really care what they have for powers if its used to make a fun story. Its a bloody superhero RP and in the end how the power is used is dictated by the OOC and never the IC.
I think Deadpool is a really awkward character to base your character on considering he had a comic series entirely dedicated to him killing off all the other characters in the Marvel Universe but I digress. People will generally have a problem whenever they're faced with a character that they can either: a) punch and literally do nothing to them, kinda or b) put in a box and hope they don't bother themselves to try and escape the box. Once they escape said box we go back to the same loop as above. Anyhow, I do know what you mean that we're not really offering any creative ways for you to change your character without abandoning the premise of the character so I'll try to address that. First of all, personally I don't mind her being functionally immortal as long as there is some cost. Maybe if we change it so Light actually can be killed but she simply reatomises or add some stupid scientific thingy ma blobber like that. The time between her actually being dead and coming back can be a few hours. From then, we could work on something happening when she does die so it's not just some enforced time-out period for Light. Maybe if we take a leaf out of the book of an anime called Log Horizon? In it, everyone is functionally immortal as they simply respawn upon dying but there is a cost - they begin to lose their memories. Initially, the first few deaths don't cause any sort of loss but as the person keeps dying, vast swathes of information is cut from their memory. Just killing Light and having her come back would be the same as it is now but instead, we'd add a cost were if Light dies continually, she risks forgetting who she is. Risk = reward, remember?
