I'll cut the human flesh thing - it was more of something to play up the alienness of the character. I think I'll edit the character sheet a bit more, make him more altruistic, possibly to a dangerous degree and give him a subconscious yearning for relative normality.

1. In the most literal sense of the word, in that he performs acts that can be deemed heroic and possesses abilities that can be judged as 'super'.
2. With difficulty and character development on his part. 

As for the lizardlike-humanoid part, I'll admit this is an old character of mine who I've always seen as very bestial. He does normally stand on two legs in a hunched manner rather than moving on four legs, will put that into the description.
