Elena would follow Jay, you said that Jay would tell on them once she had proof. It would be before they get kidnapped, I would think it could be what leads up to them being taken. Because I'm trying to figure out how they could be kidnapped at the same time. I'm kind of hoping it would happen before the wedding, because if he actually marries Jay it might crash Ciara even more than him leaving her. Awe!
