Yes
Appearance:
At 193cm tall, Andri is shorter than average for her people but still taller than most humans. She has thick black hair usually tied back in a loose bun and dark brown eyes, a rounded face with a strong nose and a wide mouth and darkly tanned skin. Her build is lithe and wiry, with no real defining curves to show beneath her robes. Epicanthix are identifiable by the epicanthic fold of their eyelids.
Flaws:
Often blinds herself to the darkness in other, giving people the benefit of the doubt. She is willing to give everyone chances to redeem themselves, but with each broken promise she becomes less lenient towards that person. She gives six chances to each individual - she’s twice as lenient as others, but after the sixth she will cut ties with that person. In the case of Sith, after six attempts at redemption she will instead attempt to ‘put them down’, regarding them as little more than rabid dogs. Subscribes to the ideal that if you are going to change, you must change in all areas and not just the ones that are easiest or benefit you most. Her combat skills are lacking, being more suited for diplomatic roles instead. Automatically trusts all Jedi, except those that were previously Sith. Redeemed Sith, she treats with civility and neutrality, unless they have breached her chance limit, in which case she distrusts them and waits for the moment when they fall back to the darkness so she can put them down. Looks towards a better tomorrow rather than dwelling on today or the past. It was due to this that she was picked up at a very early age by the Jedi Order, and whisked away to the Jedi Academy on Alaris Prime. She doesn’t remember much of her parents, being just a toddler when she was taken away from them, and so grew into the Jedi way of life very quickly and easily. Her childhood was one of joy and laughter, enjoying her time playing with the other younglings and learning new things. She struggled to learn the lightsaber combat forms however, showing a much higher natural aptitude for the ways of the Force instead. She was a natural speaker, diffusing arguments and organising activities within the children’s play time and using keen eyes to assess a situation and come up with a plan, and was soon guided towards the lifestyle of a Consular and diplomat. When she was 8, she became good friends with Vebra, a newcomer Zabrak youngling, and tried to help him as much as possible with his connection to the Force. This was forced to come to a halt when she became a Padawan at the age of 10, apprenticing under Jedi Master Ral Shodon, and travelled with him around the galaxy he visited other Academies and plied his skills as a diplomat and healer. Master Shodon was a stern taskmaster, focusing more on Andri’s prowess in the way of the Jedi than on allowing her to socialise with her agemates. Due to her own lack of natural combative skills, he only focused on bringing them up to acceptable levels before switching to intense training in the way of the Force. She herself showed no aptitude for the healing arts, instead learning the basics of field first aid. Alongside this, he trained her in the basics of diplomacy and the history of the Republic and the Order. He slowly worked on her natural naivety and gullibleness as well, but didn’t make much headway until they were six years into her training. She kept up her contact with Vebra, exchanging letters with him often over the years. When she was 16, just before Master Shodon took Andri on a four year training trip to the Republic Elite’s Resort World of Alassa Major, to mingle with the politicians and elite of the galaxy, she indulged in a short fling with Vebra. They kept up the flirty correspondence through her time on Alassa Major, providing a source of relaxation for her. Her time spent on Alassa Major was anything but relaxing, as she was forced to rub elbows with the richest and most affluent of society. She was forced to leave behind her childish naivety and gullibleness very quickly, as he intensified her training in the diplomatic and political arenas, whilst not allowing her combat or Force skills to deteriorate. They ended up staying a year longer than Master Shodon expected, as it took extra time for him to train her to think things through more instead of instantly believing what everybody says. During this time as well, Andri and Vebra's flirtatious relationship subsided to just very close friends, neither of them wanting to try for something more serious in case it ruined their friendship. Andri’s Master declared her ready for Knighthood at the age of 21, eleven years after she entered his apprenticeship. She was Knighted traditionally, barely passing her Trial of Skill, but making up for it with her skill in the Trial of Insight. The next fifteen years of her life were spent bouncing between diplomatic missions and being a spokesperson between the Jedi Council and the Republic, as Master Shodon had trained her to do, bouncing between her childhood Academy on Alaris Prime in her downtime and other Mid and Inner Rim planets . When she felt her Master's death, Andri was shocked and has spent what time she can spare between political missions searching for information on the death of her Master and his apprentice at the time. She is determined to confront the person who killed her Master and either arrest them (in the case of non-Force sensitives) or kill them (in the case of Sith) to prevent any further deaths of those dedicated to peace. She was in between missions at the time of the Sacking of Coruscant, readying herself for another trip around the Mid Rim worlds.
Personality and/or Motivation:
Optimistic and calm, she is always smiling and believes that everything will get better, you just have to believe and keep hope alive. If judgement is not carried out on those who have betrayed her or the galaxy, she will be irritated. If a chance comes later for her to take them out, she will take the opportunity. If they have been redeemed between when she last saw them and the next, she will not attack immediately. She will be disapproving and distrustful, always waiting for the moment when they slip back into the darkness.
Player’s long term goals:
Keeping morale up for the captive Jedi, have fun! She works closely with the Republic, trying to unify the galaxy under one overall banner. Light Side: A harsher, less forgiving view on the Sith, giving them only one chance to redeem themselves. In the case of already redeemed Sith, she will treat them suspiciously regardless of whether they were redeemed on the first chance or not, and any slipping will result in her ‘accidentally’ crossing paths with them and killing them for the good of the galaxy. She will still work towards unity, but will prescribe to the tough love mind set. Dark Side: She will fall, and fall hard, twisting her views completely as she changes every aspect of herself, going from a ‘brighter tomorrow, good of the many person’, to a selfish, present-only person. She will seek to unite the galaxy through pain and equality through the Dark Side, not trusting anyone and seeing threats wherever she looks. She will never take on an apprentice, not wanting someone so close to her and learning her secrets.
Relations:
Jedi Master Ral Shodon: Master. She felt his death two months ago, and has been searching for clues on who killed him since. Lea Rahn: I am thankful and pleased she is alive, though the knowledge that she has been taught by the Sith has me somewhat worried. Have they twisted our Master's teachings, subverted them into being parallel to their own? I think she is a resourceful young woman, but still a child in terms of what she has to learn about teh Jedi way and the Force, and I pray that we can make it out of this together. If we do, I will endeavour to help her learn more about our way of life, and correct any misunderstandings spending so much time with the Sith may have caused. Vebra Mirthios: Close childhood friends, had a teenhood fling with him but they let the flirtation fall so as not to ruin their close friendship. Jayda: knows a little bit about her, including seeing a few childhood holograms, through her correspondence with Vebra. Knew her as a charming, hyper young girl with a large smile. Xid: He is a nice young man, but not very confident, and I worry that he may do something rash and lose his life - which, if what he told me is correct, is not going to be beneficial to the prisoners as a whole, since a lot of the plan he and Tolun Fi have talked about involve his skills with machines. I will gladly go in his place for any torture or discussions, as I have faith in my conviction, and it will spare him the pain and psychological confusion such events would induce, and therefore take his attention away from any plotting the others may need to do. Shiri: A young Twi'lek, I'm not sure how old she is but she seems younger than Xid. I haven't had a chance to speak with her, but she doesn't appear to be a fighter. Miasa: The Sluissi is...confusing for me. She talks pleasantly, she enjoys debating differing points of view, and she disdains hurting someone just for the sake of causing pain, but she is a Sith. She has left me with quite a bit to think about, some of which has me rattled. I think in another lifetime, one where she hadn't fallen to the Dark Side or perhaps I had never become a Jedi, we could have been good friends. Jayda and Zanna: The pair I have only just met, though the Zabrak is extremely familiar to me. She reminds me of someone...it's on the tip of my tongue, but the words won't come. They are both so young; I wonder how either of them have survived the Sith so far, as it is not the best environments to grow up in, even for a Sith Pureblood. Though by the scarring on the Zabrak, it hasn't been an easy time. Perhaps they could be shown the Light Side, and cast off their dark pasts in exchange for happiness. Denso and Khan: Well...they are males and prisoners. I haven't talked to either of them enough to actually get an impression. A bit on the short side, at only 1.55cm, she is still well within average height of a female Cathar.
Notable Characteristics of Species:
Retractable claws, rapid healing abilities
Flaws:
Slightly rebellious and independent, with a penchant for going off on her own thing rather than staying put. Insanely curious and finds delight in exploring new places and finding secrets, not liking when information is withheld from her from whatever reason. Holds a slight grudge against the Order for taking her away from her family, though logically she knows she has had a better life in the Order than she would have as a refugee. Still wants to know what became of her family.
Skills:
Able to take advantage of commotions and distractions to slip away unnoticed Slicing Basic training in Ataru Skilled at various string games as a hobby, creating shapes and images with just string and her fingers alone
Force capabilities:
Basic Force Capabilties Telepathy/Comprehend Speech Farsight
Biography:
Canisha was born last of her litter, on Cathar. Not long after the birth of Canisha and her siblings, her parents fled Cathar to escape the looming presence of the Empire as war seemed to creep closer. The family of six huddled together for the first few years of her life, travelling between space stations periodically as they were shunted around with other refugees. When Canisha was two, the family was split in half between two different space stations; her father and two of her siblings went to one whilst Canisha, her mother and her remaining sibling ended up on another. Her childhood didn’t change much after the split, other than her mother’s stress levels rising as she tried to search for any mention of Canisha’s father and reunite their litter. They still bounced between space stations around the Outer Rim, and Canisha’s early life was one of moving around. She was always a curious child, and from the moment she could walk unaided she spent most of her time exploring the station they were currently living in. Though her sibling often tried to join Canisha on these explorations, they usually ended up being caught and Canisha learnt to use the incidents to slip away while her mother was distracted or focused on other, more adult concerns. Canisha also showed a strange ability to know things she shouldn’t occasionally and retrieve items that her mother was certain she had put out of reach for the children. Though it didn’t happen often, one incident that will always stand out in her mother’s mind happened when she was four. Canisha pretended to be sick, throwing a tantrum until her mother was late to catch the shuttle to where she had been assigned work. Canisha calmed down fairly quickly after that, and her strange behaviour stayed in her mother’s mind for the rest of the day. It was later that afternoon when her mother heard of an accident that occurred that morning, involving the shuttle she normally catches. When she asked Canisha about her behaviour that night, Canisha admitted to having a dream about the shuttle, and that was why she didn’t want her mother to board it. When Canisha was six, her parents had still not managed to find each other again and the memories of the other half of her family had faded to nothing more than vague recollections. This resulted in Canisha and her remaining sibling becoming very close, though childish tantrums and arguments still occurred. One fateful day, while Canisha was still at the age of six years old, she managed to slip away from the watchful eye of her mother once again by utilising a ruckus caused by her sibling. She remained unnoticed as nothing more than ‘another space brat’ running about the station as she set off to explore to her heart’s content. She ended up travelling outside of the refugee quarters by following the crowd of people coming and going constantly, but didn’t panic as she was having too much fun exploring this brand new area. Canisha enjoyed spending the afternoon racing around the station, exploring all sorts of nooks and crannies in her curiosity as she went. As it grew late, however, she grew tired and made to turn back and go home. It was then that Canisha realised just how lost she was, and how utterly unfamiliar the part of the station she was in actually was to her. Getting upset, and definitely starting to panic, Canisha decided that running back the way she had come would surely be the best way to find somewhere familiar, and therefore find her way home. She set off quickly, racing almost blindly through the hallways. In her panicked and upset state, she didn’t notice the man until she ran into him. The man was kind however, and gently questioned Canisha to discern why she was upset. Upon realising that she was lost and a refugee child, he offered to guide her back home to her mother. Canisha agreed, glad to have someone to help her. It was a quick journey back to the refugee sector for the man, who knew where he was going, and Canisha was swiftly reunited with her worried mother. Her mother alternated between scolding Canisha and smothering her with kisses in relief while her sibling pestered Canisha for details on where she had been and what she had seen. Whilst Canisha was answering her sibling, her previous panic forgotten as she regaled them with stories of ships and droids and people, her mother thanked the man who had brought Canisha home again. At this point, the man revealed that he was in fact a Jedi and that Canisha was Force Sensitive, and that he would like to take her to a temple for training. Canisha didn’t understand what the adults were talking about, though she did see the exchange of credit chips as her mother was compensated for allowing her child to be taken from her. Her mother turned to her then, explaining that Canisha had to go with the man now, and that she would be taught to use a wonderful power to help people. She quickly connected the act of her mother receiving credit chips from the man and being told to go with him, and felt betrayed to be sold off like that. Despite her resulting temper tantrum, joined by her sibling who quickly cottoned on to the fact that Canisha was being sent away from them, and her wails, her mother told Canisha to be happy as she hurried the young Cathar out the door and off to her new life. The last memory Canisha has of her family is of her mother’s joyful and relieved face and her siblings upset face as she was ushered away by a Jedi. The actions of the man and her mother, plus the credit exchange, stayed in Canisha’s mind, and the grudge she levelled against the Jedi for taking her away from her family soon came to blanket the entirety of the Jedi Order’s habit of taking children from their parents and siblings. Despite her own belligerence, Canisha was quickly whisked away to the Jedi Temple on Telos IV, where she began her years as a youngling. Canisha spent six years as a youngling in the cold academy of Telos IV, her dislike of being taken from her family never quite falling away. She bonded quickly with other children who were taken at an older age, often commiserating with them about their missed parents or siblings. Canisha’s curiosity often got her into trouble, as she had a knack for getting into places she wasn’t supposed to be.. This also led her to finding many little nooks around the Temple, and Canisha became quite adept at playing Hunter with the other younglings. Also headstrong and rebellious, she often disregarded rules she thought were ‘silly’, and skipped classes in order to follow her own devices. Her skill at Farsight was discovered but not trained due to the weakness of it, instead turning her attention to other things. Not long after Canisha turned twelve she became a Padawan to a Jedi Knight by the name of Rena Grandolph, and starting to learn the ways of the Jedi Investigator, a branch of the Jedi which suited her own natural curiosity and penchant for getting into places she shouldn’t be. The Jedi Council decided against training her to become a Seer due to her temperament and disposition. Instead they subtly maneuvered her master and herself towards missions and assignments that would negate her need to ever use Farsight, resulting in Canisha rarely ever thinking of it. She spent six years as a Padawan underneath Knight Grandolph, and her Knight Trials were scheduled for the day of the Sacking of Coruscant. Though she did complete them, the attack happened before the Council told her their verdict, leaving her still a Padawan when she was captured by Darth Nyiss.
Personality and/or Motivation:
Insanely curious, her own curiosity having gotten her into trouble many times before, and actually being what led to her being trained at the temple. She is also headstrong and slightly rebellious, quite often going off on her own thoughts and desires instead of following orders, which has also gotten her into trouble before. She can hold a grudge rather well, as evidenced by the one she has levelled against the Order for thirteen years about the separation of herself from her family, and while she may forgive eventually, she certainly won’t forget. She enjoys the company of children, playing games with them when she has the chance, though she has a tendency to treat them as miniature adults more than children themselves. Also enjoys playing card games and Chess, though she’s not very good at long-term strategy games due to her own impulsiveness.
Player’s long term goals:
Light Side Ending: Becomes a Shadow, hunting down the dark side wherever it may be and eradicating it from the universe Dark Side Ending: Becomes an Assassin/Infiltrator, collecting information and disposing of enemies for the Sith Neutral Ending: Decides to leave both sides behind, retreating to places where she can be alone. Maybe become a Private Investigator or Bounty Hunter, always on the move.
Relations:
Nyiss was the one who captured her. She has three siblings out there, plus her parents, who are all unaccounted for. Her Master, Jedi Knight Rena Grandolph, fate has been undecided.
Final Point - Secrets:
Mwahahahaha
