Akio Tendou
Akio smirked at Aoi’s outburst, not planning on putting away her Senbon in the slightest. What was the point of a spar if you didn’t play with your strengths, and Akio’s just happened to be ranged weaponry. Besides, Aoi had said no ‘cutty’ things, and while senbon could cut, they are more a stabbing weapon, and she hadn’t said anything about those before the spar had started. Besides, they were shinobi, dishonesty in combat was the crux of their trade. As she saw Aoi take to the skies and launch a bunch of goo everywhere, including the tree she was currently sitting in, she would wait until the last possible moment before falling out of the tree to avoid getting trapped inside of the goo, avoiding the gunk on the ground until she had a clear shot, upon which she fired off the bolt she was currently charging. Three bolts of electricity would flight straight towards Aoi’s current position, but the second she tried to bungee back down, they would be quick to follow her, never resting unless she managed to block them or got hit. And of course, while this was happening, Akio couldn’t help but give a reply to Aoi’s cocky smack talk. “Well then, Aoi-Sensei, prepare to have your doctorate revoked, because the only butt that’s getting kicked is yours.” Akio decided it was better to stay out in the open, running around the clown girl in a circle equidistant from the goo covered trees and the goo piles near the middle of the field. She fired off a couple more shots from her thunder bow, taking the time to aim as her homing shots hopefully kept Aoi busi. Firing off another 6 shots, this time, each one of them had a static string attached to them, so if any of them hit, then this game was as good as her’s, as she’d simply charge the string, incapacitating the girl and claiming it as her win. That being said, she wasn’t putting all of her eggs in one basket, so to speak, as Aoi was a slippery little thing and never stopped moving, making her a very hard and annoyingly difficult target at times. After firing the shots, if none of them hit their target, she’d cancel the thunder bow jutsu, feeling a slight tinge of exhaustion creep into her system due to her using the jutsu twice in a row. While not a chakra intensive technique, using charged shots were still a bit draining on her at her current level of skill, but she was working on it. The feeling passed quickly, as she continued moving, running through some more handseals before launching her next attack, deciding it was time to close the gap a bit, as well as clearing up the playing field. “Katon: Pulse Blast jutsu” She said as she formed the small ball of fire in her hand, then sent it flying towards Aoi’s position. She aimed low, so it would hit the ground right next to the Harlequin girl, and the following blast would likely send her flying, as well as removing some off her goo, and trying out most of the rest with the heat of it. The blast would leave Aoi disoriented but unharmed, her vison and equilibrium would be left in some slight disorder from the concussive blast, and that was the moment when Akio would charge in, deciding to take the battle into close quarters combat. She’d lead in with a kick to Aoi’s side, then throw in a barrage of punches, all of them would be solid hits, but not strong enough to injure her in anyway. She’d sure be feeling it the bruises tomorrow though, if any of them hit. [@Savato]
