I've got a vague idea for Shapeshifter/human, if you're willing to be the Human, and okay with it being a Dragon shapeshifter? Basically my plot idea is in a (high) fantasy world (magic, elves, dwarves dragons etc), where the human (your character, but they don't have to be human) befriends another (seemingly) human with a little bit of fire magic, but they are actually a dragon shapeshifter. The basic basics of my plot are the Dragon Shifter doesn't know how to control his power much so the most he can do to shift is give himself little elements of his true form, like a tail, some scales and maybe wings as he gets more powerful. Then something threatens them (Idk maybe another dragon, or humans or mages or warriors or whatever) and he changes fully out of fear or anger or w/e.
It isn't set in stone, it's just an idea I've had in the last couple of days. PM me if you want to discuss it :D
