Yeah, I noticed that too, but there was a (ridiculously overranked) Brigadier General on the interest check, so I thought that it wouldn't mind if Elizabeth was a Colonel. Plus, her rank is meant to represent the fact that she's the leader of a secret research lab in Central City, nothing more, IMO.

The fact that she's a chimera is a top secret, so it shouldn't matter too much. What your characters should be worried about is the mere fact that they sent a researcher for this field mission (obviously for her to try to create a Philosopher's Stone from the terrorists) and that said researcher is quite infamous on the military for being a war criminal.
