"They piled onto me, bitting and snapping their jaws." The Czar wolf strides forward between the mass of wolves, rambling on. 
I shift on my paws, the chilling air whipping around my fur.

"They were not rogue wolves," I announce, looking away with shame. "They were from my faction: and they were spies. Spies from another faction. They were trying to start a war between us and Czar Claws."

Stunned faces looked at me. I looked down at my paws.

"And what shall their punishment be?" rumbled the alpha male of Czar Claws.

"Whatever faction they belong to will obviously not punish them because they planned it. Their scents are stale; they have already gone."
I stride forth and began to inquire one of my betas before a white beta female of Winter Wardrunes saunters forward, her muzzle high and her claws ejected. She made an amused noise before saying,

"Arguing over something so petty." She had folded ears, a common mutation along her faction. "Let her talk," I begin to say--referring to my beta female. 

"I shall state what I want." the overprideful wolf growled. Wolves surrounding her growled at her behavior, one cuffed her in the head. She scoffed.

"The rogues, we can deal with them. We follow their scent to their home and get revenge."

"Who's with me?" she howled.

The alpha female of Faëner's Foresters shook her head at the beta female.
"This is nonsense," she said with authority, "we shall wait."

The beta female growled deeply, challenging the alpha female. She gazed at the beta female.

"This is a place of peace."

The beta launched at her, jumping onto her, clawing and biting. The alpha threw her off with a kick of her haunches, and she hit the ground with a thump.

Wolves approached the beta female, growling and snarling.

"How dare you!" Voices erupted from the crowd.

Wretched fleabags, how could they be so idiotic? I lean against the rock wall with a sigh, surveying the madness around me. It had to stop. The beta female stood snarling in the middle of the wolves while wolves around her swiped at her, claws sheathed. Challenging the authority of an alpha female was highly disrespectful; she could loose her rank. I tilt my head and perk my ears.
