So do the Beta Male and Beta Female have to be a mated pair? Or could they simply work together whenever the time arises?

I'm still keen on the position, but happy to be just an adult female if necessary for the Beta to take a mate if he must through RP as he doesn't have anything relevant to any relations up to this point in his CS.
