And as for the fact that she's family shouldn't matter. My -I don't want to call him this- uncle neglected my grandmother to the point of death (either it was the starvation, sickness, hypothermia, or a combination of the three, whatever got her first) and we're not forgiving him for that, and if your brother's mother-in-law does or nearly does the same to your dogs, I don't think you should, either. Do not even think of her as family.
