Appearance: At 6ft Nikolai is of average height and weighs around 90kg, all muscle. Over his frame, he wears a cloak with multiple pockets, and inside the pockets are multiple inventions in varying stages of completeness, notebooks with ideas, lists, etc and other random stuff. This cloak also hides his weaponry from sight. Scared on his back form being mauled by a werewolf he wears a type of armor he made underneath his coat, made up of thin metal strips woven together like cloth.

Personality: He is a bit eccentric, and loves to tinker. He has created a lot of new weaponry for the Order in the 5 years he has been working for them. Most of the time, he can be found in his workshop concocting new ways to kill monsters, from silver frag bombs to holy water sprayers. His lifelong goal is to create a cure for the “diseases”, how he describes witches, warlocks, vampires and other creatures like that. When not in his lab he can be found scribbling things into multiple notebooks that go into the many pockets of the large cloak that he always wears. Friendly normally he can seem a bit absent minded and clumsy but is highly trustworthy and holds a great many secrets in his head. A friend and apprentice of the Duke (the new grandmaster) he will offer solid but cautious advice. Once he puts his mind to something, he is driven to see it through. 

Bio: Nikolai’s father an Englishman, was a close friend of the Dukes and died on a mission for the Order. Nikolai's Russian mother died from pneumonia when he was aged 10 and so he was taken into the Dukes household. He once followed the Duke, when he was walking by himself, to the forest where he saw the Duke practicing his weapon skills. Interested about how the Duke knew how to do such things he approached and nearly got killed for it. The Duke decided to teach him how to fight and even took him on a hunt a couple years later, that is when he got mauled on the back. He joined the order at the age of 15 and worked his way up quickly to become a feared hunter to vampires and werewolves, but mostly vampires.

Before the monster fully dies, he will always try and take a vial of blood so he can try and create a cure but his research has sadly not come up with anything…yet. A man bound by honor he once slept with a girl and promised her that in times of trouble she should seek him. She later was turned into a vampire and the whole city went on a hunt to find her, honor bound he helped her through the gates and out of the city. His honor only goes so far though and he went out the next day, hunted the vampire, and killed it. To this day, the Duke still does not know.

Nikolai's mother has a faint traces of vampire blood due to coming from Russia and his father has a minute amount of werewolf blood somewhere in him.
