[u][b]Stage one [/b][/u] (Empower): Zeph harnesses the light around him to become far stronger and faster, while not invisibility it does make it easier to fade into the darkness.

[u][b]Stage two[/b][/u] (Void shot): Zeph absorb light of locations in his sight, the resulting vacuum creates a jolt of energy in the area as the light rushes to fill it.

[u][b]Stage three [/b][/u] (Corrupted blades): Zeph creates a pair of blades that float by his forearms extending from his elbow to about two feet past his fist, while not actually blades, these dark energy blades can tear through simple metals like tissue paper.

[u][b]Stage Four[/b][/u] (Lord of dark): Zeph becomes darkness manifest, consuming all light that contacts him. Obvious increase in abilities make the earlier states pale imitators.      

[u][b]Limitations.[/b][/u]: While none of his abilities are particularly taxing on his vitality, the erratic nature of the energy he wields makes it difficult to sustain them. Often they damage the area around him, making it dangerous to even be around him while they are active, this makes him mentally hesitant to use any of them around others. Focus is needed to use the other three of his abilities meaning any emotional disturbance can interfere with their intended purpose. 
His body is similar to a living gem, while he is more durable if he is injured it is far more problematic, and his powers are perverted versions of themselves. Overcharges can 'bite' back cracking his flesh along with debilitating pain, an overcharge occurs when he uses powers too frequently or when he doesn't stabilize the energy he is using (such as when he is angry). 

Mental handicap: His powers came with the side effect of blueish hue to his permanently pale skin this led to worry and troubles, but as mentioned Overcharges come when he is unstable. This led to incidents of him literally exploding with energy, damaging both himself and his surroundings. Fear of both the pain and regret for those he harmed have led him to subconsciously hold back.
