{Sorry it took me so long to reply.} I swivel my head towards the entering alpha female, Axilas, and greet her with a dip of my head, noticing her confusion. Wolves surrounded the beta female, snarling and cuffing her head. She scoffed and attempted to ignore them. A underfed male wolf attacked the beta, and wolves from each faction jumped into the fray, but became confused with the pelt colors of other wolves. It was an all out-war. "Stop, you fleabags!" I bark. Some continue to fight; but the obedient ones pull away. "Are you idiotic? What if the rogues attacked us in this condition?" I snarl, pacing on the rock. "Than what? We would be mincemeat!" Eventually the ones pull away reluctantly. I sigh in relief when I scan the territory, to find no wolves still battling. "You should all go now. It is time for the alpha and beta discussion. Anyone who is caught hanging around shall be punished." I lift my muzzle to the Silverpelt{stars} and howl, flicking back my ears. The other alphas carry the song with me, until the betas and other wolves continue it. I pad over to a corner where all the other alphas and betas lay expectantly, tense from the previous skirmish. "Kazec," I turn to my beta male, "Will you please speak your opinion--as well as Kemedo's?" Kemedo was sitting beside me; she was a deaf wolf but a wonderful fighter. "Ha! Oh, a beta female being deaf! She should be an omega!" The disrespectful Whirlwind beta female laughs, kneading the ground impatiently with her claws. I snap my teeth at her, launching at the beta and pinning her to the ground. I dig my claws deep into her flank. "Do you dare insult a fellow beta? Or are you simply foolish?" She shrugs her shoulders and grins. "You could call me 'foolish'." In a flash, I raise my muzzle to her ear and tear. She yips, but quickly regains herself and kicks me in the stomach with her haunches. "Quit!" barked the alpha female of Whirlwind Wardrunes. She slunk away with annoyance on her face and an open hatred for all wolves who surrounded her. An updraft of wind wisps through the air, chilling my fur to the bones. Kemedo lifts her muzzle to the air, sniffing the air. She lets out a series of barking and howling. A warning call. She gets into the position of stalking prey, her haunches brushing the ground. A rustle comes from the bushes and I tense, waiting for action I knew would be coming.
