It's more of a matter of reflexes. She can only move that much air so fast. The worst she's going to do anyhow is incapacitate someone. Elize isn't one to pick fights really. Something like that would wear her down really fast anyhow. Any kind of gas seeks to fill any present void so to hold a void or vacuum in that manner would be extremely strenuous for her as other gases would be trying to fill that empty space. She's constantly fighting the nature of her element. Moving air isn't a large task that's something rather simple but creating a void like that for more than about a minute or so is going to cause extreme damage to her own body.
