“The 305 is currently in service out in Pegasus for the Indians and the 306 is getting ready for its shakedown cruise later this month. I’m here to show you something else.”

Doctor Phil Lawson swiped his ID card through the card reader beside the door, which after beeping in confirmation slowly began to rise up. Revealing the X-307, in some places her hull was still being patched on and there was obviously both man and machine crawling over the ship in order to put it together. “Today I’m going to introduce you to my personal favourite, the 307.”

Then the blast door lifted and revealed a small platform overlooking a very much different ship. It was still being built, but she could get a good impression of it’s final shape already. A small gasp escaped her mouth before she went to lean over the guardrail to see as much as she could.

“This is…” Captain Black fought to find the correct words, “...well, [i]sexy[/i] really!” she grinned, before looking at the craft with a more watchful eye, scratching her chin. “Larger than a 304, yet not armed so much. Armor looks on par. Unless we're in the business of making our battlecruisers easier targets... I give up, what’s it for?”

He turned to face her slightly on the whole battlecruiser statement, offering a grin. “You’re right, she’s not a battlecruiser. The 307 is a long term reconnaissance, research, recon vessel. She’s as fast as a 304, with the shield power. Has better sensors and comm systems, and is designed for long term mission viability with as small as crew as possible. Thoughts?”

Stargate Alliances is a Roleplay set within the Sci-Fi universe of Stargate, the long running TV show. After the events of SG:Universe Earth has become a predominant power in the Galaxy. However, much of the Milky-way has been explored and as such the latest ship built by Homeworld Command is designed to take things to the next level.

The X-307, commonly referred to as the [i]Nyx[/i], is a state of the art vessel. Incorporating Asgard, Ancient and Tau’ri technology into the design, the ES Nyx is the first human capital ship built with a cloaking device. Her mission: Long term reconnaissance of other previously unexplored Galaxies. Why the 307?

The 307 is designed specifically to be self-reliant with a smaller crew, to support those who’ll be sent away for (at the least) months on end without being able to visit home. This allows her to have larger lab space to process any discoveries themselves without needing to send data back to the SGC. It also has modules both on the outside and inside that can be easily replaced with newer ones fabricated in it’s on board factory which allows the 307 to upgrade to new technologies on the fly. She is one of a kind, and is exceptional. 
Though nothing less would be expected off the Fifth Race.

[b]State of the Galaxy:[/b]

1) The Tau'ri and Free Jaffa Nation are the two most powerful factions in Milky Way. Tau'ri through technology and FJN through numbers and strength.

2) Much of the Galaxy has rebuilt after the Ori Invasion, and there are several small coalitions as races advanced technologically. Many of these groups ally themselves with Earth. However equally many planets chose to remain independent.

3) The Lucian Alliance is still the biggest threat, through manipulation and distribution of drugs they control a large part of the Galaxy.

4) Realizing that taking out a criminal group is not as easy as taking out Goa'uld who like the spotlight the Tau'ri have created a Protected Planets Treaty with the Lucian Alliance similar to what the Asgard had with the Goa'uld. - This was officiated in 2014

5) One of the oldest races still in existence, the Tok'ra are still trying to find a way to repopulate their species as they are still lacking a queen and thus suffering from negative population growth.
