Well, we won't be having 1500's grade firearms for a long time yet. Don't worry though, we'll eventually have our fantastical, impossibly hard metals (as any self-respecting fantasy world must). Any that are created at this point in time, however, must be exceedingly rare. Like, rarer than oxygen on the moon.
