Aiko frowned at him. 

"You don't need to guard him here. Kikiyo won't hurt him, and none of the servants would dare," she said leaning against the wall. It was rude to leave a guest. Plus, he intrigued her. For a wolf, he wasn't that bad. Clearly, he was loyal.

Ichiro thought about her question. Did his pack have trouble boding with other species? Honestly no. The only reason they didn't get along with vampires was this age old feud about opposites. 

"Werewolves tend to be really easy to get along with. By nature, we are proud and loid, but we are loyal until death," he answered, in thought. "You're right about Kai. He's too good of a friend for me. He has this idea he has to personally guard me. I have actual guards for that. I wish he would stop trying so much."
