Amuné abandoned the effort of recovering her meal and put the Ethan-pile between herself and the strange men as they approached. She went pale when one of them stabbed the ground before Ethan, and Wyth's fur bristled, making the large cat seem even bigger. Machina? She looked at the boy. He seemed to be Muran. Was he really a machine? She'd had limited contact with them, for her village did not have many. They were simple and rather old-fashioned there, and the Machina she'd seen looked nothing like the other child. She gasped as Ethan swept her up, eyes widening in surprise, and then unfocusing. "Magi..." she whispered. She twisted her neck to look at his face. "You're Magi." He was Magi, just like she was, and Ydra as well. Maybe she really would be okay with him. Wyth stayed at their side, and people were quick to get out of the way of the group. Those that didn't were easily pushed aside. And then the nice man was stopping, and turning around. Amuné was confused. The men in suits would catch them if they just stood still. What was he doing? She held tight as the wind suddenly picked up. He had the power of Kedo, the Saint of Air, just like her father. But he was using that power to toss the suited men aside? That wasn't what magic was for. The girl frowned and bit her lip. She supposed that defending yourself was okay, but her father had always said magic must never be used for evil, for it was a blessing. When Ethan set her down she looked up at him and smiled shyly, before looking around. People were scared. Magic was a bad thing now, and they were afraid of it. But Ethan had magic too, so he wouldn't be afraid of her. She decided that she'd stick with him, at least for a while.
