You guys are making it sound like that we -have- to include canon characters in our games. We don't, we reaaally don't. Remember, Nova was made with the idea that it was something that was taking place in the existing canon without actually having to worry about the shit that happens in the game because really, who all is going to know about it other than the unavoidable stuff? Hard to stick with our sticking to canon philosophy if we ignore everything. Besides, this game takes place a decade before ME1. It literally has no bearing on the games. Should we be doing stuff during the trilogy, well, it's a big galaxy. About the only things that we'd have to worry about and acknowledge are the attack on the Citadel, the Collectors taking human colonies, and then the Reaper war, which would actually be interesting to play from the perspective of people who are really doing their best to just survive instead of being friggin' heroes. They wouldn't even know who canon characters are except in passing, and the odds of meeting them are already extremely slim. I'm not going to shoe horn canon characters into a game when there's a huge, lore rich universe with countless of unique stories to tell.
