I think YA novels do a lot of transparent, boring characters so that readers can get into them easier and imagine themselves as the special bad ass who saves the day and gets the hot dude of their dreams. Divergent just didn't do much for me, so I'm glad to hear that I wasn't the only one. I've heard good things about Maze Runner, so if you read it, let me know how it goes. And ugh, the Wayward Pines finale made me really mad. The book's ending was kind of vague and dumb but the last fifteen minutes of a really good mini-series was just horrible. If you watch it, I recommend skipping the end. Omg, speaking of that. Have you upgraded to Windows 10? Bigger is better! I think we mentioned cave spiders at one point? I'd be pretty cool to make them flesh-eating. And okay! Sorry I got dragged off on a phone call but I don't have anything to do tomorrow so I'll probably get you something after you post.
