[@WilsonTurner] While I agree, Cap'n. Jack makes the movies that much more enjoyable, one of my favorite Characters besides him is the formidable Calypso. 

My family is from the Caribbean. I've always favored anything to do with the ocean.
Being of Afro-Carib descent, it was wonderful to see a character that could represent my own ethnicity in a setting that revolved around the sea. Hell, she was the Queen of the Ocean until The King (Davy Jones) and his men bound her to her bones. Not only that, she was a powerful woman and a very important character to the overall plot. Beautiful too. 

I dunno hope thats not too sappy, but thats part of why i love this franchise.
