I jerked my head back in suprise. "Sorry!? Are you kidding? You are ridiculous." I rolled my eyes, relieved that her breathing was back under control, one less thing to worry about. "Spencer, how's that leg?" "I'm getting there." He said, as I looked around I noticed he was in the process of taking off his belt. He looked at me and shrugged. "It was all I could find. I think Joe took the bag with all the medical equipment in it." I swallowed and nodded. "Okay. Okay, good, keep going." "Uh, Sam?" "Yes?" "I just tie it around?" He knelt by Daisy's thigh, his belt in his shaking hands, looking increasingly nervous. I sighed and turned back to Daisy. "Stay still, this will hurt." I went over to Spencer and looked down at Daisy's leg. The blood had soaked her whole pant leg. Reaching down, I gripped her pants and ripped them open where the wound was. "Tie it just here." I pointed just above the bullet wound. "Make it tight." He nodded as I began unzipping my uniform down to my waist. I gingerly pulled off my white undershirt, revealing the large number of bruised ribs and bandages I had never gotten redressed. Spencer gently lifted Daisy's leg and slid the belt underneath. He looked at me once for reassurance, before he went ahead and tied the belt. At the same time, I balled up my undershirt and pressed firmly down onto the bullet wound. Sorry, Daisy.
