As she said that, a small boy appeared right in front of her. It was the last of the Toadstool Family, the magician Magio Toadstool.

Reimu: So, you're the remaining one. I'll make sure to beat you down!

A really big number of colorful stars appeared all at once. His nonspell was so random that Reimu couldn't make a planned way out of it.

Reimu: (What the hell?! I thought Marisa held the title of the most randomic, nonsense pattern since that moon incident... but this kid... is he just merely shooting?!)

Reimu flew through the many stars shooting her amulets. She had to micrododge the bullets more than once.

Young Magio: [b]Comet Sign "Rainbow Comet"!![/b]

Magio's first Spell Card was to summon colorful comets that left a trail of crystals as they fell down. The crystals started to disperse after some time, but their speed was really slow and the area would soon get filled with bullets.

Reimu: Doesn't know about danmaku my ass... I gotta admit, he's one of the few people that gave me trouble when it comes to danmaku!

She passed through the falling comets while evading the crystals that remained. The area managed to get so small that she had to use Fantasy Seal to clear it, not capturing the Spell Card. Magio wasn't damaged by it, though. He was being protected by a shield. Even so, Reimu dispelled it.

This time, Magio sent open rings of small stars at Reimu. She evaded all of them, while shooting fiercely at him.

Young Magio: [b]Star Sign "5 Pure Stars"[/b]!!

The first version of one of Magio's infamous Spell Card. He shot five big stars: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and White. They rebounced three times on the field as Magio kept shooting small stars to reduce Reimu's movement. On the 3rd rebounce, they all flew fast towards the shrine maiden.

Reimu: What the hell?!

Reimu got hit by the Red star and lost one life. She had 4 more to go, but this didn't meant an easy task. She switched to her Persuasion Needles and kept shooting, until she dispelled the Spell Card.

Magio's danmaku progressed to an aimed star shooting mixed with the spread rings from his second nonspell. The colorful shooting coming from the magician had surely surprised Reimu. But she managed to pass from this nonspell as well.

Young Magio: [b]Light Sign "Magic Radiance"[/b]!!

Magio shot a light beam near Reimu. She evaded it, but the beam was generating light orbs behind her. Those orbs went all to him, closing Reimu's space from time to time.

Reimu: (That beam isn't a problem, but those orbs are! I'll end up using another bomb...)

And she did. Right when two orbs had definitely closed her space of movement, Reimu saved herself with another Fantasy Seal. Magio was still immune to it. She managed to break through his 3rd Spell Card, though.
