Roulette
Alias: Roulette Real name: Claire Jacquier Age: 19 but her appearance is mostly in her middle 30s. Gender: Female Appearance: Claire's appearance also changes completely while she sleeps and she never looks the same twice. Apparently even her fingerprints change, so there is no way to identify Roulette physically. While sometimes her appearance is totally human, Claire's transformations sometimes include some non-human traits. When Claire's body allows her to use uniform, she uses a red jumpsuit with a a roulette symbol in the chest. If not, she wears a armband with her symbol. Personality: Clayre usually is a lovable woman with a charming, down-to-earth attitude and a disarming sense of humor. She is capable of violence and she will not hesitate to badly hurt those who deserve it. She has adopted a deadpan attitude to all the strangeness that is her life. Her greatest fear is going to sleep—meaning yet another unpredictable physical change—and she is afraid of dying during one of her comas. Sometimes, to postpone going to sleep, Claire uses drugs. When she is far gone into amphetamines, Claire ceases to be a friendly woman and gradually becomes a raging paranoid. She is more prone to acts of extreme violence and believes everyone is against her. Short Biography: Claire's strangers powers manifested when she accidentally knocked a breaker full gas in her father laboratory. After waking from a one month coma Claire founded that she was different and no one could explain why. She couldn't sleep and when she finally managed, she woke up invisible—and in the following sleep the power was gone. Somehow Claire was earning powers while sleeping. The next week she found she not only could gain power but also change her body. In a month sleep her body was gone through a metamorphosis to grow wings and leave her bones hollow. Thus Roulette was born, a heroine with an endless arsenal of powers that even she couldn't control. Powers, Skills & Equipment: Roulette powers are unpredictable. She can sleep for weeks, sometimes months, lapsing into a sort of hibernation. While she sleeps, her body slowly transforms, and she wakes up with new powers and sometimes new appearance related to the power. Sometimes she wakes up powerful superheroine, sometimes with no power at all. When she has powers, they seem to depend on the emotional state and subconscious desires she had when she last went to sleep—and sometimes accompanied by drastic changes in her appearance. For instance, if she goes to sleep feeling cold, next time she can wake up with heat powers to compensate. If she desires to fly, she can develop flying abilities next or even wings. If she goes to sleep in a very rotten mood, she can wake up with no powers or different appearance. So, when she wakes up, Roulette usually isn't sure what her powers are this time around, and must perform several little experiments to discover them. Usually she always feature or superhuman strength, or endurance, or speed with others random powers. While she sleeps, Roulette's body regenerates, so that she heals from any wounds, even regrowing amputated body parts. A side-effect of this regeneration is that she doesn't age. And while her sleep periods can last months, she also can stay awake for a much longer time than an ordinary human. At least one week, sometimes much longer. Claire can't be affected by alcohol, since her metabolism while she is awake is much quicker than a normal human's. Her appetite is also superhuman, and Claire must consume enormous quantities of food, particularly right after waking up. She also can absorb information and knowledge while she sleeps. Claire usually sleeps with a radio turned on, so that she wakes up with a subconscious knowledge of news and events that have transpired while she slept. Claire is a expert acrobat and knows several styles of unarmed combat. Weakness: Roulette is limited to the powers she has while awake and she can not change them freely without going through deep sleep and she also can't keep the same power for two consecutive sleeps. Because of the randomness of her powers, Roulette can have super strength today and, after sleeping find that she can create bubbles or speak with butterflies. With the vast arsenal of powers also comes weaknesses. Each of the powers she randomizes has its own weaknesses—she can become a powerful human torch but she can lose her powers to the slightest rainfall or worse, she can have fire powers but without vulnerability to it, or even need to scratch the skin to generate the flame. Full Biography:
Francis and Agnès were delighted when they learned the baby was a girl. Claire Jacquier was her name, like Agnès's favorite flower, a playful slim girl with a friendly smile joined by long brown hair that always seemed to play around with the wind. And Claire grew as a peculiar girl, nerd by nature she grew up with her father, a scientist who worked in their house. Likewise, while others girls preferred to play double-dutch or with dolls she would rather play cops and robbers or soccer with her brother; no matter the situation, the little girl loved to run around. As a consequence, over the years her long brown-haired curls lost the shine due to carelessness and was soon replaced by a short cut that required less care by Claire. Claire enjoyed the school—even with the casual tomboy bully—but nevertheless she soon became her brother partner in crime. Louis and her whenever they could skipped class to play soccer or watch movies. To her him was the hero and all those showing up in TV or flying around was lies. The ups and downs of the two lasted until high school, when Louis moved to college—in end was not a total disaster, in the end he broke up with the ugly girlfriend, putting an end to the bloody feud between her and Claire. Claire's next step in high school was football. She got a place as wide receiver and even dated the handsome quarterback of the school. Nothing could stop the skinny girl—or at least nothing could until the third game when she was hit by a boy the size of a train with at least seven times the size of her. Not bad for a girl, she had a not so decent retirement but still was dating the handsome guy. Well, until she discovered that he was cheating. Claire was the kind of fiery girl who would not end a relationship with him easily. She planned a vengeance and, however ridiculous it seemed she wanted to "amaze" her boyfriend and the entire school. While still in relationship she spent a month convincing the most beautiful cheerleader that she and her had that "chemistry"—the rest are stories told in the half between the Hillview Wallabies and Sierra Rams. Claire graduated from high school as "that french chick who make out with the cheerleader in the locker room" and perhaps the most popular girl in school. Claire was planning moving to Grimmarsh, rent a house, start college and perhaps lose her tomboy looks and become more beautiful—she really didn't want to lose her girlfriend. Everything changed when she was cleaning her father's lab and accidentally knocked a beaker. The gas quickly filled the room, and even after she turning on the guarentena fans she had been infected. Claire spent one month in a coma. Incredibly she spent the month aware of what happened around her as she knew that Lauren had stayed with her all the time and remembers her father talking with others about the situation. In the same way she remembers one distinct voice, slightly modified somehow, with a certain air of authoritarian concern talking to her father. "Your daughter, Francis... what was her mental profile like?" he said, "What sort of girl is, or... well, possibly was, she?" The man would continue, "I know this is odd coming from me, but we're simply concerned 'bout her. We'll try to help her... condition, as much as we can, but I'm here for... well, her threat levels I'm afraid. Just my job, I'm sorry." Claire woke, she called for her family but no one was in the house. She took a shower and when she looked herself in the mirror she realized she was different. She was half feet higher, no longer skinny, her hair was different, looking 10 years older and more attractive. She was scared and amazed at the same time and didn't want to anyone see her like that. She faded. She covered herself in the wet washcloth but that also faded. She wished to reappear and she gradually faded in. She had super powers in which neither her father could explain how. She couldn't sleep for a week. And when finally tired she slept for another month. This time, her bones became hollow and she grew beautiful white wings on her back, she knew how to fly and had super strength. She then started training, soon becoming a vigilant. The college would have to wait. Two weeks later she slept again but this time she had nothing besides the same enormous hunger.
Fun facts:

Claire is bisexual.
Her favorite food is cheese.
